Santa Casilda SCA is a family company that we, Jesús Fernández de Castro and Tránsito Habas Sánchez, began 26 years ago. The plan was to treat the business as a life-long project for us to work on as a couple, and we are delighted that our daughters Tránsito and Elena and our son Jesús are also now fully involved.
What started out with us looking after our olive groves and livestock would over time evolve into a company dedicated to organic agriculture and livestock-rearing practices.
Besides which, we are also currently involved in the processing and packaging of Organically Produced Extra Virgin olive oil, sold under the name Olivar de la Luna. The latter has seen Mayte Ruiz de la Rosa and Valentina Moreno Rodríguez join our team, and take on the project as if it were their own.
Our company owes its name to the farm where we live, where the olive groves and the almazara (where the oil is extracted and processed) can also be found.
We aim to take care of the environment, harmonising production methods with the demands of nature and the surrounding countryside as well as providing a product which is both of the highest quality and beneficial to the health of our customers.
